How an OMG moment ensured a restful vacation

Thanks to those of you who joined me for last week's workshop at Athleta in the Burlington Mall. We even had someone drive up from the Cape (thanks Gail!) I shared my tips on how to dance around your kitchen, ways to make cooking and mealtime less stressful. I gave out some yummy recipes with a handy snack list to keep energy high throughout the day. Hope to see you at my next workshop. ****************************************************************** Ahh, the summer. Feels like we are really having one this summer - what with the hot temps, endless sunny days and minimal rain. I know it's not ideal for everyone, myself included, but I'll take it. Here in New England, where our summers are sometimes elusive, it's one of the best times of the year to live in this part of the country.

My summer is going absolutely swimmingly so far (and I'm pumped because we're only halfway through. A different take on IT'S ALREADY ALMOST AUGUST!?) My summer has been filled with lots of fresh air, camping trips, bonfires, swimming holes, hikes, mountains, animals (you'll hear more about that in my video) and raw food.

For the first time, in a looonnnnggg time, I had a vacation during which I actually recharged my batteries. I returned from the vacation feeling rested and ready to go. All too often I hear of people returning from their vacation needing a vacation to recover.

Is that you? Do you need a vacation from your vacation?

While that's definitely happened to me before, this recent vacation to the wilds of Maine was different.

There were four specific things I did to make sure I returned rested and ready to go. And believe me, you don't want to miss this video. You'll learn about two of my OMG moments that really made this summer memorable. Even thinking about those two moments, gives me goosebumps. I think it's possible you will share in my OMG moment when you watch it below.

[youtube 0GPrjgINzyQ nolink] And we're trying something new in today's post.  I'm sharing something that I would love for you to tweet. So just click HERE to tweet this week's quote. Yup, that's right. I would love for you to tweet something. "The adventure is in the journey, not the destination." @JohannaVoss Now share with us what you do to rest up on your vacations. Please leave a comment in the section below.  I would love to hear from you so that I can learn more ways to have restful vacations.

Keep smiling,
