Gonzalo, um, blows. A lot. I'm talking 145 mph winds. With rain. Hello comfy clothes and wood stove fires. Oh the rain. It was neverending for a couple days. I holed up in my house and debated building an arc while contemplating which of my mason jars would make the trip with me.
That rain threw a total monkey wrench in my half marathon training plans. On the calendar for Sunday is the Newburyport Green Strides Marathon (in town? Come cheer me on....ppplllleeeassse.) And on the calendar for the last two weeks was a fabulous trip to England and Italy.
England and Italy - where the food, family and fun flowed. The running, well, not so much.
So this week, I was on a crash course to get some miles in before the half this weekend.
Apparently Gonzalo didn't get the memo and sabotaged my training plans.
So what's a girl to do when it's gross, cold and wet outside?
Join me this SUNDAY at 7pm EST on a free training call.
"What to do now that your fall racing season is over...and it's cold out."
I've got some good ideas about how to keep on running when the weather outside is less than ideal.
And if you can't make it, but don't want to miss what I share, register anyway and you'll get the recording.
Gotta run, Johanna
