Why I left New Hampshire

As you read this, I'm most likely on a plane high above you. I've left behind the flat, Atlantic Ocean coast of New Hampshire for the mountains of Salt Lake City. Why Salt Lake City you ask? Of all places to go to on such a gorgeous summer day, I head to Salt Lake City?

Or as my dear friend Sarah said, "Utah? How fancy."

USANAigniteSalt Lake City is home to USANA Health Sciences, my product partner and host to our annual International Convention, IGNITED2014!

Waiting for me in Salt Lake City are Dr. Oz, Tony Robbins, Brendon Burchard, Kate Northrup and others.

(Well, they aren't all exactly waiting for moi, but they are at the same event I'm attending.)

To date, I have yet to talk on my blog about the business model behind what I do as a Nutrition Coach for Runners. But since I'll be in Salt Lake this week, my facebook, twitter and instagram will be decorated with images, quotes, inspiration and insight from the Convention.

Today seems like a good time to give you a peek into what I do AND explain what's going on with my social media accounts.

The quick and dirty version is that I'm on a mission to create financial and location freedom for myself.

One month a year in Madrid practicing my Spanish + watching the rain fall on the plains ? Yes please.

Another month out of the year in England, spending some serious QT with my godson Tobias, teaching him to speak American? You betcha.

And I'm creating this freedom by teaching others what they need to eat to fuel themselves to train for (and crush!) a half or full marathon.

I'm part of the network marketing industry (or direct sales, whatever works for you). And that integrates seamlessly into the personal coaching and online programs that I run, which is how most of you know me.

Network marketing means that a company uses it's fan base and product users (who love the products and can't stop raving about them) to spread the word about the company. Those people then get paid to share the products with others.

About 18 months ago, I partnered with USANA  to increase my business and support my clients' desires for improved health.

I haven't looked back since making that (big ol' leap-o-faith) decision. Honestly, I'm loving being in business for myself in a way that I never imagined possible.

(If you ever run into me at White Heron Cafe, you'll know just what I mean. I do business in coffee shops and on skype.)

If you are reading this and you're already in the health and wellness industry, perhaps you're a health or running coach, maybe a race director or outdoor gear rep, or maybe you already spend time and moola on your own health, I'd love for you to consider hanging out with me in a couple weeks time.

See, I'm hosting a webinar on "A Little Known Strategy for Increasing Your Bottom Line While Helping Your Clients Get Stronger and More Fit" on September 7th at 7pm EDT.

During that free webinar, I'm going to pull back the curtains a bit more on my business. You will learn not only why I do what I do, but more importantly for you, HOW I do what I do.

If you're looking for a way to marry your passion for health and fitness with a desire to improve your bottom line, join me on my webinar.

Well until then, I'm off to enjoy the altitude of Salt Lake City, soak up some Tony Robbins inspiration and enjoy the change of scenery. It's shaping up to be one helluva week.

That same friend Sarah told me "Oh wow - sounds like a very exciting week! I can't wait to hear all about it. I kind of love that you're going to see Tony Robbins in person, that is hysterical and awesome."

I couldn't have said it better myself. It's hysterical AND awesome.
