How to get noticed by brands : An Influencer’s guide
Imagine this: You’re scrolling through Instagram, and suddenly, you see your favorite influencer rocking the latest fashion from a top brand. You think, “How did they get noticed by brands and land that amazing partnership?”
It’s not just luck—it’s a blend of strategy, creativity, and a sprinkle of digital magic. If you’re dreaming of turning your social media passion into a brand magnet, you’re in the right place.
Let’s dive into what makes brands sit up and say, “We need to work with you!”

Organically mention brands in your content
Brands notice when you flirt with them! That’s right, it’s no different getting noticed by a brand than it is by someone you want to get to know IRL. Tag the brands you want to partner with in your content. Mention the brands in your stories and in your feed. Love them up!
Had a great travel experience? Tag the airline company, car rental and local tourism board along with the hotel in your content. You can tag the clothes you bought for the trip, travel items you brought and anything else that came along for the ride.

Create consistent content
Consistency in posting matters. A regular content schedule keeps your audience engaged and demonstrates to brands that you are dedicated and reliable.
You have to post. Often!
You absolutely can’t slack off on posting with regularity to your social media channels. If a brand sees that you’re only posting 1x/week or even worse once a month, it’s a huge turn off.
Inconsistent posting conveys that you’re not prioritizing content creation and working with brands. They’ll skip right over you to someone else who is posting more often.
Create high quality content
There’s no way around it. Brands are drawn to influencers who produce high-quality, visually appealing, and engaging content. No excuses! Invest in good equipment, such as a high-resolution camera and lighting, to enhance the quality of your photos and videos.
Additionally, pay attention to editing and presentation to ensure your content stands out. What’s trending? Are you staying with the latest transitions & audio applicable to your niche?
Use relevant hashtags
Research and use popular hashtags related to your niche to reach a broader audience. When you use a brand’s product, not only tag them in your posts but use the hashtags they use on their content.
Many brands monitor these tags to find potential influencers for collaborations. Ensure that your posts are discoverable by including location tags (always!) and trending hashtags when applicable.
Keep likes visible
Don’t hide your likes on your content. It’s very simple, you will be overlooked by brands. Brands will often have it written into their contracts that you can’t hide likes on your sponsored content with them. The contracts also include language that you can’t have hidden likes within the past 60+ days.
Hiding likes is a guarantee brands will look right past you.
By following these tips, and consistently delivering value to your audience, you’ll increase your chances of getting noticed by brands. That’s how you go about securing those lucrative partnerships.
Remember, building a successful influencer career takes time (so much time!), effort, and dedication. With a strategic approach to content creation, you can attract the attention of brands and create lasting, impactful collaborations. You’ve got this!
